Maggie Grace is an American actor who was born Margaret Grace Denig in 1983. Her most famous roles include Shannon Rutherford, a character in ABC's Lost series and Kim Mills from the Taken trilogy. Maggie Grace was born in Worthington in Ohio. She dropped out of school when her parents split up to move into Los Angeles to live with her mother. In the midst of financial hardship, she got her first acting gig as Rachel's Room's main character the online video show Rachel's Room in 2001. In 2002, she was nominated for a Young Artist Award with her role as 15-year old murder victim Martha Moxley. Grace Rutherford was the main actress in Lost in its two initial seasons. In 2004 she received the Screen Actors Guild Award with all the cast. Grace was dropped from the series in 2005 to focus on a more significant role in films, having appeared opposite Tom Welling as Kim Mills in the film Taken. She starred as Kim Mills opposite Liam Neeson (both in Taken in 2008) as Suburban Girl as well as the Jane Austen Book Club. She reprised her role for Taken 2 (2012) and Taken 3 (2014).She played the leading role in Alice on Malice in Wonderland a modern version of Lewis Carroll's classic novel Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. Grace performed the role of Shannon once more in the show's finale and in two additional episodes. The year was 2013, and she was a guest in the sixth season of Californication. The role she plays is Faith, a groupie who serves as a model for the stars, and draws the eye of Hank Moody (David Duchovny). She is part of Gyllenhaal's family and is the elder cousin of Jake Gyllenhaal. Her first roles were in the films of her father as an adolescent. Together with her brother she was also in Donnie Darko (2000). Her next appearance was in Adaptation Confessions of a Dangerous Mind in 2002, and Mona Lisa Smile (2003). Gyllenhaal was praised by critics for her leading roles in Secretary (2002 the erotic romance drama), and Sherrybaby (606), both of which earned their Golden Globe Award nods. Her fame grew after playing Rachel Dawes, a superhero in The Dark Knight (2008) due to the success of several commercial films that she was a part of the year 2006. Following her acclaimed performance as a mother who is not married on the screen in Crazy Heart (2009), she was awarded the Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress. She then appeared in dramas and comedies which included Nanny McPhee's Big Bang (2010) Hysteria 2011 and Won't Back Down 2012 Her other roles are as an agent of Secret Service in White House Down 2013, as a singer for Secret Service in White House Down 2013, as a vocalist in Frank 2014 and also in The Kindergarten Teacher 2018, where she portrays the lead role. Gyllenhaal began her professional career as screenwriter and director in 2021, when she directed and wrote her psychological horror film The Lost Daughter. The film won Best Screenplay at The Venice International Film Festival, and was later nominated by The Academy Award. Academy Award.
